How to Attract Geofilter Clients
How I Earned Four Figures Designing Snapchat Geofilters
In 2016, I worked with dozens of geofilter clients, and I began to earn little bit of extra money.
I had a day job covering my bills, and I was busy with school most of the year. So, I really didn’t need to take on these projects.
Even though I didn’t need to, I was getting a bunch of geofilter requests from people finding my past Snapchat geofilters online. So, I thought I might as well.
Over the course of the year, I was able to earn an extra $2000 on the side creating geofilters.
It blew me away that I could make that much in my nights and weekends, outside of school and work.
I never once publicly promoted that I designed geofilters or actively looked for clients.
People just found my work online, and were contacting me left and right to hire me. That’s when I realized that people really wanted geofilters and were willing to hire a designer for them.
Who knows how much I could have made if it were my main focus.
Now admittedly, this wasn’t overnight. I had been designing geofilters for about a year and had work up on my website that began to generate buzz.
I also spent most of the year trying to figure out how to onboard clients, how to ask the right questions to clients, and how to price these projects. I also talked with several designers over the year that wanted to do this type of work, but they didn’t know how to do it either.
No one else that I knew was working as a geofilter designer. So, I had to figure it out all on my own.
That’s when I decided I would create the Snapchat Filter Design course.
I wanted to share everything I’ve learned about designing geofilters, as well as the business side of geofilter design.
I believe the most important part of being able to work as a geofilter designer is being able to attract clients. Without people asking you to help them, you cant do the work.
Being able to attract clients to me, passively, it the reason why I was able to earn extra money on the side.
Because attracting clients it’s so important, I decided to make it a free lesson from the course. That way as many designers as possible can benefit from it.
